This article is intended to instruct Managers, Local HR, and HR how to add a new Bonus payment in Concourse.
For an explanation of fields, please see table at the bottom of this article.
- Open the desired employee you'd like to add a bonus for.
- Click on the Compensation tab.
- Click Bonuses.
Click Add Item.
Enter data in all fields that appear on the form and click Save.
On a bi-weekly basis, Payroll will generate a report of all unpaid bonuses that were created during the latest period and pay out the amount to the employee in their paycheck (over $200) or issue a gift card ($200 and less).
Description of Fields
|Employee||Employee name - only visible if you are not adding the item from the Employee Card.|
|Type of Bonus||Type of Bonus that is being awarded. For specific questions on Bonus Types and eligibility, refer to the bonus policy.|
|Amount||Amount that should be paid out for this particular type of bonus. This field will only be present when a unique amount is required. For bonuses that are always the same dollar amount, the field will be hidden and automatically filled in.|
|Award Period||For Attendance only - for what quarter does this Attendance bonus apply.|
|Effective Date||The date in which the bonus was actually earned. This date should not be when the bonus is expected to be paid. This might be the date the employee passed the test, when the mentoring was complete, or when a referred employee has completed their probation and certifications. Contact HR if you have any questions on what date to enter.|
|Description||For Spot Bonus only - detailed description of what the employee did that warranted a Spot Bonus|
|Referred Employee||Name of the employee that they referred|
|Mentored Employee||Name of the employee that they mentored|
